Dunno wot caused it but it looks like it was a corrupt file in the windows\system32 folder, I installed the latest Kazaa Codec pack which has a better versoin of Gspot Codec Information which told me exactly which file was causing the problem I just deleted it and everything seems fine now. Weird :?...

infact thinking about it the last thing i installed was quicktime, think that might be the guilty party as it says that quicktime comes with codecs.

Blimey that was quick, yeah ive done that removed rippack and all the codecs and reinstalled and it still comes up with the error, I've also repaired windows XP which fixed the playing AVI problem, but rippack simply wont work now, even if i reinstall.
