Hello,

can you tell a rough date, when we can assume the new version?

My problem is, that I share my computer with a friend who needs the latest divx-version for some betatesting.
I need 5.02 to use rippack smart.

At the moment we always reinstall the divx versions we need.
That is very dissatisfying ;-(

Can we hope to get a new rippack version soon?

Soon no because the work hasen't started yet. But as soon as the website is re-done the project will be launched et should make it's way quite fast (open source developpement).

Well Bruce, I hope that the new version exists, I'm really tired to check again and again but nothing appears, May be too late when the new version comes, just be carefull because when it happens could be other programs that do the same thing...

Bruce has "officially" announced he would not develop another version of rippack. He gave the sources for thoses who would like to do the job, but he won't be one of them. There won't be a Rippack XP.

Anyway, other softwares do the work : if french is not a problem to you, try Videolab or Ripp-it after me. If not, try Gordian Knot.
